The Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) is one of the largest trade associations in the nation, representing more than 300 heating, ventilation, air-conditioning (HVAC), water heating, and commercial refrigeration manufacturers from all parts of the world. Position:Dev Ops Engineer Essential duties and responsibilities
- Implement containerization and serverless technologies tooptimizeapplication scalability and performance.
- Manage andmonitorcloud environments (preferably Microsoft Azure) ensuring security, compliance, and cost efficiency.
- Automate operational tasks using scripting languages (Power Shellrequired; Python, Bash preferred).
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to networking, virtualization, and cloud services.
- Maintain documentation for processes, configurations, and best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field from an accredited college/university.
- 3-plus years of experience in Dev Ops or related roles.
- Proven track record in cloud automation and infrastructure as code.
- Provenwork experience with
CI/CD pipelines for application deployment and infrastructure automation.
- Implement containerization and serverless technologies to optimize application scalability and performance.
- Manage and monitor cloud environments (preferably Microsoft Azure) ensuring security. compliance and cost efficiency.
- Ability toprovide leadershipconcise updates on software systems.
- Cloud Expertise:proven work experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud.
- Networking: strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, firewalls, and load balancing.
- Virtualization: experience with VMware or Hyper‑V environments.
- Scripting:proficiency in Power Shell; familiarity with Python, Bash, or other languages.
- Automation & Containerization: hands‑on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and serverless frameworks.
- CI/CD Tools: knowledge of Azure Dev Ops, Git Hub Actions, or similar platforms.

The salary range for this position is $ - $based upon experience.
LocationThe work location for this position is Arlington, VA. Subject to supervisor approval, AHRI employees are eligible for participation in AHRI's alternate workplace program after 90 days of employment and a 90-day appraisal at a level of meets expectations.
