Senior Program Manager, Global Corporate Procurement

As we are rapidly becoming the world's largest consumer of corporate services in many categories, the Global Corporate Procurement team is seeking a Program Manager to join our team in Arlington, VA.

The chosen leader will be an experienced program manager skilled in leading multiple simultaneous procurement programs in a highly cross-functional environment which includes internal customers and technology partners. You'll have high standards for yourself and everyone you work with, and you'll be constantly looking for ways to improve your programs' performance, quality, and cost efficiency. Using data and key metrics, you will drive and measure process improvements that enhance our procurement effectiveness.

You will work independently in a dynamic, challenging, and fast-changing organization. We are leaders in corporate procurement, and we need individuals who are ready for this challenge and who want to reach beyond what is possible today. A successful candidate must have a passion for procurement excellence and program management and be able to drive efficiencies with those around them through effective lateral and upward management.

You will own month-end goal reporting, cross-organization stakeholder management, work with internal procurement operations teams on best practices, identify training gaps and opportunities for procurement specialists, and manage upwards with senior leaders. You will have a strong background in reporting, program management, analytical and process optimization skills. You will work across teams to streamline procurement mechanisms, build SOPs, partner with tech teams to improve procurement tools and dashboards.

Key job responsibilities
  • Drive operational excellence initiatives to define roadmap plans, develop and manage implementation activities.
  • Develop documentation and communications for program/process rollout and ongoing support.
  • Establish channels for continuous feedback and improvement across the organization.
  • Identifying and mitigating potential risks and obstacles by collaborating closely with business partners, key stakeholders, and team members.
  • Actively seeking out opportunities to optimize processes, reduce inefficiencies, and improve overall performance across the organization.
  • Design processes and procedures that scale with the business’ growth in volume, complexity, and global geographic dispersion.
  • Applying tools and techniques from Lean and Six Sigma to streamline processes, eliminate waste, and reduce variation.
  • Utilizing data to identify trends, root causes of problems, and measure the impact of improvement initiatives.
  • Leading and supporting change initiatives to ensure successful adoption of new processes and practices.
  • Working with teams across different departments to identify and implement improvements, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
About the team

The team is responsible for managing strategic procurement initiatives globally, is uniquely situated within Finance Operations, and uses data-driven approaches to optimize vendor relationships, cost savings, and procurement efficiency. We are looking for a technical-minded strong leader who has a proven track record of program management in complex and growing procurement and business environments.

Basic Qualifications
  • 6+ years of program or project management experience.
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience.
  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field.
