Job Description

Position Summary:

The Development Operations Coordinator supports the headquarters of a nonprofit dedicated to helping U.S. Army Soldiers, retirees, and their families navigate financial hardship. Through interest-free loans, grants, and scholarships, the organization provides critical assistance with expenses ranging from rent and utilities to medical bills, childcare, and vehicle repairs, ensuring that those who serve, and those who support them, have a safety net when they need it most.

In this role, the coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and synchronizing all travel, events, and key organizational processes, ensuring seamless operational execution through effective logistics management, policy support, and cross-team collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

* Plan, coordinate, and synchronize all CEO travel and event requirements, ensuring alignment across Army installation sections, Army leadership, and community partners
* Manage all installation-based events supporting Soldier and Spouse engagement, including leadership professional development sessions, spouse socials, Army Community Services, officer meetings, and senior leader engagements
* Coordinate all travel and engagement logistics in collaboration with the Chief Development Officer, Director of Marketing and Communications, and the CEO's Executive Assistant
* Collect and organize data to support external events, leader engagements, and multi-stakeholder interactions
* Plan and coordinate senior leader engagements such as Brigade and Battalion, Pre-Command Course, Senior Commander Course, and related programs
* Track internal and external taskers resulting from travel and engagements in partnership with the COO and CDO, ensuring timely action and follow-through
* Provide support for additional events and organizational initiatives as assigned

Qualification:

* U.S. Army veteran with direct working knowledge of Army structure, culture, and operations (strongly preferred)
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year institution or equivalent professional experience
* Proven experience in scheduling, meeting coordination, and event planning
* Demonstrated ability to develop and implement comprehensive plans with clear objectives, timelines, tactics, and performance benchmarks
* Strong ability to organize and coordinate complex travel, events, and multi-stakeholder engagements from start to finish
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, professional correspondence and presentations

Travel Requirements:
* This position requires up to 35% annual travel, with the highest travel tempo occurring from February through May. During peak periods, travel may occur during consecutive weeks
* The coordinator will serve as the primary driver during trips and must hold a valid driver's license. Must be able to drive in overseas locations — at a minimum, one international trip is expected annually, typically to Germany
