Deal Desk Analyst – Matterport, Arlington, VA

Matterport is seeking a Deal Desk Analyst to provide essential support to the sales organization on complex deal structures and non‑standard transactions. This individual contributor role acts as a business liaison to the field sales team, partnering cross‑functionally with Sales, Legal, Customer Success, Marketing, Finance, Sales Engineering and Fulfillment, and ensuring accurate deal structuring, pricing, and approval processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and assist with deal structuring, quoting, pricing, special terms, auditing, and exception approvals.
  • Anticipate sales teams’ business needs through pipeline reviews and forecast calls.
  • Act as an escalation point to shepherd deals to closure, driving increased velocity.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Finance, Accounting, Billing, Engineering, Info Sec, Legal) to review and prepare approval requests for non‑standard deal elements.
  • Document, communicate, and enforce pricing, discounting, and deal policies.
  • Guide regional sales leadership on deal structuring to maximize ARR while maintaining cadence and urgency.
  • Review and approve complex quotes and sales orders based on policy and accounting guidance.
  • Define opportunities for automation via Salesforce CPQ in the quote‑to‑cash cycle.
Basic Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in order management, deal desk, finance, contracts, sales operations, or revenue roles.
  • Working knowledge or exposure to Salesforce or other CRM and CPQ tools.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and data‑driven decision making.
  • Track record of delivering high‑quality work with accuracy, timeliness, and completeness.
  • Proactive, positive attitude with continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ability to work in a team, anticipate needs, and exceed expectations in a dynamic, growth environment.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours during peak periods.
  • Consistent achievement of performance objectives.
  • Proficiency with reporting and presentation tools (e.g., Looker, Google Docs).
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
  • Software/SaaS industry experience (desired).
  • Experience navigating non‑standard enterprise deal processes (desired).
