Job Description & How to Apply Below
Position: Program Analyst (Office & Program Operations)

At Cynnovative, we leverage machine learning, computer science, and software engineering to address high-impact problems in the cyber domain, specifically those which are critical to U.S. national security. We primarily extend fundamental research to invent, design, develop, and deploy prototype solutions that support persistent problems in this domain.

Job Overview

As an Associate Program Analyst at Cynnovative, you will support the execution of our programs and the day-to-day operations of our Arlington office. You will work directly with our program managers and company leadership on project tracking, meeting preparation, documentation, and reporting, and you will help keep the internal machinery running: schedules, vendors, visitors, and the operating rhythms our teams rely on.

This role is crucial to keeping our programs on track and our research and engineering teams focused on the mission.

This is an associate-level role designed as a real first step toward project and program management in government contracting. The work spans both program operations and office coordination, with meaningful ownership on both sides. You will learn how government programs actually run, from deliverables and reporting cadence to stakeholder management and contract requirements, and you will take on larger program responsibilities as you demonstrate ownership.

NOTE:
This role requires U.S. Citizenship, ability to attain and maintain TS security clearance, and is located on-site at our headquarters in Arlington, Virginia.

Responsibilities May Include

Support program and project execution

  • Support program managers and company leadership with project tracking, schedules, action items, and follow-ups
  • Prepare meeting agendas and materials, capture notes, and track next steps through to completion
  • Support proposal, contract, compliance, and client-deliverable workflows as needed

Keep our office and internal operations running

  • Coordinate office logistics, supplies, vendors, and visitors
  • Support onboarding and internal processes for new team members
  • Handle general workplace coordination with professionalism and discretion

Own documentation, reporting, and coordination

  • Maintain program documentation, trackers, status reports, deliverable calendars, and internal files
  • Coordinate meetings across teams, executives, and clients
  • Keep information organized, current, and easy to find

Grow toward project and program management

  • Learn the fundamentals of Gov Con program execution, including deliverables, reporting cadence, stakeholder management, and contract requirements
  • Identify ways to improve internal processes, templates, and operating rhythms
  • Take on increasing program ownership as your experience grows
Requirements Must Have
  • 1 to 3 years of professional experience, ideally with a defense contractor, federal contractor, government consulting firm, PMO, or operations team
  • Strong organization and follow-through
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfort with Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams
  • Ability to manage details without losing sight of priorities
  • Professional presence and discretion with executives, clients, and visitors
  • Interest in growing into project management or program management
  • U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
Desired Skills Nice To Have
  • Experience supporting federal, defense, or government-contracting programs
  • Familiarity with project tracking, meeting cadence, action-item management, status reporting, or deliverable management
  • Exposure to tools such as SharePoint, Teams, MS Project, Git Lab, Jira, or Confluence
  • Understanding of Gov Con terms such as deliverables, task orders, CDRLs, subcontractors, invoices, or compliance
