What You Will Do:
Guidehouse supports the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) to execute its mission to ensure our nation has the safest, most efficient and modern transportation system in the world. We are searching for a strategy and organizational consultant to help clients execute against their mission effectively and efficiently and work collaboratively with our clients to help them work through their most pressing challenges.
From implementing new policies to standardizing operations across offices, we work side-by-side with government leaders to solve important problems.
We are seeking a management consultant with strong critical thinking skills, clear communication skills, and a desire to manage clients.
Responsibilities Participate in information gathering session with clients regarding organizational structure, process, technology, and culture
Develop work products that clearly synthesize information into recommendations for client improvements
Present work products and information to clients in meetings and facilitate discussions on those items
Collaborate with a team to develop solutions to solve organizational challenges for a government client that interfaces with the transit industry
Develop detailed project schedules to monitor performance
Identify and manage project risks and issues
Develop detailed status reports for individual programs
Work with stakeholders to help keep projects on-time and within budget
What You Will Need:
Ability to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD Public Trust;
Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university
One (1+) plus years of management consulting experience, preferably within the public sector
Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
Ability to thrive in client service and team-based environments, especially when tackling unstructured problems
Strong attention to detail, well organized and ability to self-prioritize multiple activities
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel Ability to work in a Guidehouse Office or Client Office location
Ability to travel
What Would Be Nice To Have:
Ability to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD Public TrustPMP or other project or program management certification
Experience working with Federal, state, or local transportation organizations
Experience working with the Federal government#LI-RE1
