Trade Compliance Manager

Job Schedule:

  • 9/80 schedule:
    Work 9 out of every 14 days for 80 hours total, with every other Friday off.
  • Job Location:

    • Rochester, New York
    • Arlington, Virginia
    • Melbourne, Florida

    Reporting and

    Key Duties:

    • Reports to Manager of Global Trade Compliance in Communications Systems segment.
    • Manages trade compliance investigations, including reviewing incidents, creating work plans, interviewing employees, analyzing results, and compiling reports.
    • Supports continuous improvement of compliance program through root cause analysis, corrective actions, tracking, and project management.

    Essential Functions:

    • Demonstrates strong investigative skills in ITAR, EAR, FTR, OFAC, and Customs matters.
    • Possesses excellent writing skills to assimilate complex information and draft clear narratives.
    • Applies project management expertise to track, update, report on investigations, disclosures, notifications, and closures while collaborating with teams.
    • Multitasks effectively, manages competing priorities and deadlines, and ensures on-time completion.
    • Exhibits strong accountability, judgment, discretion, and confidentiality.
    • Displays strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.
    • Works independently with minimal supervision while remaining a team player.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Holds Bachelor's Degree plus 6 years relevant Trade Compliance experience, or Graduate Degree plus 4 years, or 10 years experience without degree.

    Preferred

    Skills:

    • Advanced proficiency in SharePoint and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, One Note).
    • Licensed Customs Broker.
    • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt.
    • Experience with OCR EASE.
    • Prior ITAR consent agreement experience or law degree from accredited university.
    • Subject Matter Expert in ITAR, EAR, FTR, and Customs regulations.
