Guidehouse supports the U.S. Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). execute its mission to ensure our nation has the safest, most efficient and modern transportation system in the world. In support of that mission, we are searching for a Senior Consultant to help DOT consolidate and improve its grants system. We are seeking Senior Consultants experienced with process improvement and the federal grants lifecycle to support DOT in improving its grant process.
The Senior Consultant we are looking for has strong critical thinking skills, experience in client interaction and facilitation, and demonstrated experience delivering solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of high-quality client deliverables that meet client requirements
- Identify, analyze, and improve business processes
- Work with diverse stakeholders to fully understand business requirements and interdependencies
- Lead the facilitation of client meetings, work groups, or interviews Develop detailed project schedules to monitor performance
- Identify and manage project risks and issues
- Develop detailed status reports for individual programs
- Work with stakeholders to help keep projects on-time and within budget
- Provide guidance, coaching, and quality assurance to junior staff
What You Will Need :
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
- Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"
- Based on our contractual obligations, candidate must be located within the United States and US Citizen
- 5+ years of federal grants, process improvement, or management consulting experience, preferably within the public sector
- Experience with federal grants programs
- Experience working with the federal government
- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to thrive in client service and team-based environments, especially when tackling unstructured problems
- Strong attention to detail, well organized and ability to self-prioritize multiple activities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- This is a hybrid role requiring some days in the Guidehouse office and/or client site
