Description:
CGI Federal is looking for a Senior Strategy Consultant Foreign Affairs to support foreign affairs focused engagements by turning mission context into structured analysis, insights, and recommendations. Working alongside senior stakeholders and engineering teams, you'll research complex issues, develop decision support products, and help ensure the solutions we deliver reflect real client needs. This role is ideal for a strategy professional with strong foreign affairs expertise and an interest in how technology enables mission outcomes.
This position is located in Arlington, VA. Your future duties and responsibilities:
- Conduct research and analysis on foreign affairs topics to support strategy and delivery.
- Develop briefings, assessments, and decision support materials for internal and client stakeholders.
- Help translate foreign affairs context and operational needs into requirements for engineering teams.
- Support client facing engagements and stakeholder meetings.
- Track developments relevant to the client mission and synthesize implications for the team.
- Collaborate with Forward Deployed Application Engineers to validate that solutions meet mission intent.
- Provide guidance and review support to the junior strategy team member.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
- Bachelor's degree in International Affairs, Political Science, Public Policy, National Security, or related field.
- 5 to 8 years of professional experience in foreign affairs, international relations, policy, or related strategy work.
- Demonstrated foreign affairs (FA) domain experience is required, including familiarity with relevant U.S. government processes and stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience producing analytical products.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a client facing environment.
- Ability to work on site in Arlington, VA or Washington, DC.
- Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain one is required.
Desired qualifications/non essential skills required:
- Advanced degree in a foreign affairs related field.
- Familiarity with data/analytics or software delivery concepts.
- Exposure to operational/analytics platforms (e.g., Palantir Foundry) a plus.
- Prior experience supporting or working within a federal foreign affairs agency.
Compensation range for this role in the U.S. is $89,600.00 - $.
