We serve the full value chain of clients active in infrastructure, the built environment, and community vibrancy, including: national governments, regulatory entities, city agencies, utilities, transit agencies, infrastructure operators and investors. Our team of 400 staff globally comprises business analysts, economists, commercial strategists, technology architects, human capital and change management practitioners. We help our clients develop their strategy, improve their operational performance, and integrate digital systems to generate value for their stakeholders and impact for their communities.

We are seeking talented management consultants to join AECOM Advisory who are mission-driven for the role of our clients in supporting economic, environmental and social vibrancy. We are recruiting for this role in the following locations:
Boston, MA, New York NY, Washington DC, Miami, FL.

Role:
As a Director in AECOM Advisory's US East Region, your day-to-day role will include driving business development, overseeing engagement delivery and leading practice development for the State and Local Government sector. This is a seller-doer role, and these tasks will include, but not be limited to:
- Being present in industry conversations and professional networks to identify and originate business development opportunities
- Leveraging industry expertise and commercial acumen to proactively target, define and shape business development campaigns
- Oversee all aspects of proposal responses as Capture Manager, including: narrative development, coordinate across multiple teams to develop technical solutions, pricing, team definition, subcontractor engagement, internal risk review, and compliance procedures
- Oversee (outline, supervise, and provide quality control over) multiple delivery teams comprised of 5-8 Consultants and Senior Consultants across multiple and inter-dependent work streams
- Provide leadership for client interactions on delivery progress and insight validation, and visibility for interactions including with C-suite clients and senior management stakeholders
- Upwardly and laterally manage the inputs from Partners and technical experts to flag key delivery choices, considerations and risks as they relate to technical scope, client satisfaction, and commercial constraints
- Architect analytical work streams and strategically guide engagement teams.
- Provide timely quality assurance and control over scope, assumptions, analyses and insights
- Oversee narrative formulation and highly-polished deliverable production to meet client expectations and firm standards
- Drive practice development with conducting performance appraisals, FP&A, operational performance improvement, thought leadership and IP generation
- Proactively coach and mentor junior staff on developing core consulting skills
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS/BA +12 years of related experience with at least 4 years of experience acting in a leadership or practice-building capacity or demonstrated equivalency of experience/education
- Proven track record in a seller-doer role in a management consulting firm
- Due to the nature of the work, U.S. citizenship is required
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA, or other Master's degree in Operational Research, Management, Management Science, Finance, Economics, Systems Engineering and/or related fields
- At least 12 years of management consulting and/or related industry experience
- Capital projects advisory, including project finance and/or infrastructure investment appraisal, capital improvement planning, asset management, portfolio strategy
