MUST HAVE:
Demonstrated experience supporting Department of Defense logistics capability development, Joint capability integration, Marine Corps logistics modernization, capability assessments, and executive-level analytical support.

Position Summary

The Joint Logistics Capabilities SME provides mid-level logistics and capability-development support to Headquarters Marine Corps (HQMC), Installations and Logistics (I&L), Logistics Current and Future Operations Branch (LPOV). Working on-site at the Pentagon, this position supports Joint Logistics Capabilities Development activities through research, analysis, capability assessments, planning support, and documentation that inform Marine Corps logistics modernization and Force Design initiatives.

The Joint Logistics Capabilities SME supports the development of USMC Program Objective Memorandum (POM) planning products, logistics functional capability assessments, capability gap analyses, investment recommendations, Joint capability reviews, and logistics integration efforts across Headquarters Marine Corps, OPNAV N4, Joint Staff, Capability Portfolio Managers (CPMs), Combat Development and Integration (CD&I), and other Department of Defense stakeholders.

Working under the direction of Government leadership and senior Logistics SMEs, the position conducts qualitative and quantitative analysis, develops executive-level information papers and briefing materials, evaluates Joint capability documents, and supports Marine Corps logistics capability development across Service and Joint organizations.

Required Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen with an Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance and ability to obtain a CAC card.
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Military Science, Operations Research, Business, Engineering, Public Administration, National Security Studies, or a related discipline.
• Five (5) or more years of experience supporting Department of Defense logistics planning, capability development, logistics modernization, Joint logistics integration, or headquarters staff operations.
• Experience supporting Marine Corps, Navy, Joint Staff, Combatant Command, or other Service headquarters organizations.
• Working knowledge of Marine Corps Force Design, logistics modernization, and capability development processes.
• Experience supporting Planning, Programming, Budgeting, Execution, and Assessment (PPBEA) activities.
• Experience conducting qualitative and quantitative research and analysis.
• Experience preparing executive briefings, information papers, reports, and technical documentation.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and headquarters collaboration tools.
• Strong analytical, technical writing, communication, and organizational skills.
