Summary
We are representing a well-established General Contractor seeking a qualified Assistant Superintendent to support field operations across multifamily and/or commercial ground-up and renovation projects. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of construction experience, a proactive mindset, and the ability to coordinate day-to-day site activities in partnership with the lead Superintendent and Project Management team.
This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in fast-paced, hands-on environments and is looking to advance into a full Superintendent role with a builder committed to quality and long-term team growth.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the lead Superintendent in overseeing daily field operations on active jobsites
- Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure materials, manpower, and equipment align with the schedule
- Help manage jobsite logistics, deliveries, inspections, and safety compliance
- Attend subcontractor meetings and support daily huddles or look-ahead planning
- Review and interpret drawings and specifications to ensure proper execution in the field
- Maintain daily reports, field photos, and Procore documentation
- Monitor quality assurance and punchlist items alongside field leadership
- Support enforcement of OSHA and company safety policies at all times
- Serve as a liaison between field crews and project management
- 5+ years of experience in construction with a general contractor
- Experience on multifamily and/or commercial projects (ground-up or large-scale renovations)
- Strong field coordination and construction documentation experience
- Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and scheduling tools
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications
- Type III & V multifamily developments
- Commercial retail and office TI
- Mixed-use and podium construction
