Lagan Construction, LLC is a third-generation family‑owned general contractor specializing in airfield construction, having successfully completed civilian and military airfield paving projects in FL, MD, MA, ND, TX and VA over the past decade.
We are looking for experienced Asphalt Paving Operators and Labor responsible for the daily placement of asphalt during the 2026 paving seasons, with work executed during night‑time possession periods.
GENERAL ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Placement of airfield asphalt to runways and taxiways utilizing asphalt rollers, pavers, transfer vehicles and asphalt distributors
- Asphalt lute/rake finishing of asphalt
- Working as part of a team on a live airfield, ensuring works are executed in a safe manner
- Inspect and ensure that pavement related equipment is operational and maintained correctly, reporting any defects to the Site Management / Equipment Manager immediately
- Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions
- Flexibility to work overtime, weekends and nights when necessary
- Able to pass relevant security and background clearance for work in secure airfield facilities
- 3 years minimum experience in airfield asphalt paving operations preferred
- OSHA 10 certification and focus on safe execution of construction activities
- Sound knowledge of construction best practices and standards
- Possess current valid US State driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Be able to work 10 to 12 hour shifts if required
Be able to pass pre‑employment drug screening and security clearance background checks for airfield access - Ability to carry out manual labor, capable of lifting up to 50 lbs when required
- Ability to work with colleagues to deliver project and operational performance
