Job Overview
POLITICO Focus is POLITICO’s award‑winning in‑house brand studio that crafts custom sponsored content solutions for some of the world’s most consequential organizations. We’re looking for a senior brand content producer to join our team of storytellers to create breakthrough digital experiences that solve complex brand positioning and issue advocacy challenges. The senior brand content producer will lead production of custom client activations, from concept to launch, including project and timeline management;
story research and content planning; creative ideation; content reviews and edits with vendors; launch and QA testing support; and promotional planning and campaign analytics.
- Dig deep into client initiatives to make strategic product and storytelling recommendations and create custom content campaigns that advance brand priorities.
- Drive the execution of digital content by shepherding the entire campaign lifecycle, including concept and distribution planning, production of creative assets, trafficking, quality assurance, and analytics‑based optimization—consistently hitting deadlines.
- Work with clients, POLITICO’s advertising team, contributors (writers, developers, designers, etc.) and the Focus team members to deliver the best experience to our readers and partners.
- 6‑8 years of project management/digital content creation experience working in media, journalism, advertising, public affairs and/or public relations, with deep experience working with writers, designers and developers.
- Strong writing and editing skills; fluency with AP Style.
- Strong presentation skills, including the ability to articulate our studio’s products and value to key stakeholders and pivot or strategize in real time during client engagements.
- Knowledge of the DC policy/government relations/advocacy landscape.
- Proficiency in one or more of the following preferred tools:
Celtra, Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics, Double Click, HTML + CSS and JavaScript, code/CMS, or Sound Cloud and other podcasting tools. Graphic design and editing skills are a significant plus.
