Brief Description
Position: Technical Writer II
Location: Arlington, VA and approved Telework
Work Environment: Onsite
Clearance Required: Public Trust / DHS Suitability
Status: Contingent Upon Award
Anticipated Salary Range: $95,000 – $120,000
TheJob Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Conduct technical editing of committee reports and studies to ensure clarity, accuracy, consistency, and compliance with industry style guides.
- Use editing and publishing tools (Word, Acrobat, Drupal) to produce templates and ensure 508-compliant deliverables.
- Perform quality assurance and compliance reviews for accuracy and tone in alignment with DHS and CISA standards.
- Support the development, tracking, and adjudication of complex document packages, including reports and graphics.
- Professional experience in technical writing, editing, and publishing.
- Demonstrated experience creating Section 508-compliant documents.
- Ability to obtain and maintain DHS Suitability (Public Trust).
- Familiarity with federal government or DHS-specific style guides.
