NOVA Cat Clinic is looking to add a compassionate and skilled Client Service Representative who loves to work with cats to our team. As part of our team, you will be the first point of contact for our clients. You will greet customers by phone as they arrive, book appointments, and answer phone calls, as well as attend to the needs of clients for prescriptions, prescription diets, etc.

The ideal candidate has a cheerful disposition, excellent communication and computer skills, and is able to work independently and with a team.

NOVA Cat Clinic is the only Cat-Friendly Practice inside the beltway. We are a full-service medical center for cats specializing in preventive medicine, responsive treatment, and collaboration with owners. Our clinic is here to make a comfortable and stress-free environment for clients and their cats!

What You'll Do
  • Greet clients as they arrive for their appointments
  • Lead practice opening and closing procedures
  • Ensure all public areas are clean and presentable
  • Process cash, checks, charge card payments, and credit account payments
  • Schedule appointments for the clinic, adhering to practice and Doctor preferences
  • Assist in updating client/patient files
  • Prepare and send client correspondence and reminder notices
  • Welcome clients and patients to the practice with a warm and friendly demeanor
  • Answer incoming telephone calls applying proper telephone etiquette
  • Present clients with medications, instructions, new client kits, and other take-home items
  • Handle emergency situations with great care, patience, and following established clinic policies and procedures
  • Address client concerns in a calm appropriate manner, ensuring every experience ends in satisfaction

Requirements
  • 1 plus year veterinary experience or education
  • Team-oriented
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Customer service experience is preferred
  • Experience as a receptionist is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Familiar with computers
  • Excellent multi-tasking skills
