The RoleWe’re looking for an Interior Designer to join our in‑house design team, playing a key role in shaping the resident experience across our multifamily portfolio. In this role you’ll collaborate closely with the team to manage projects from concept through completion, supporting both renovation and new construction work. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a creative, collaborative design studio backed by the stability and resources of a multifamily development organization.
Whatyou’ll do
- Design renovation projects from schematic through construction
- Lead design direction, finish selection, and documentation
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and overall execution
- Drive FF&E selection, specification, and procurement in partnership with procurement teams
- Collaborate with regional teams, corporate partners, and external consultants
- Support new development projects alongside design managers
- Assist with design process, documentation, FF&E, and construction administration
- Review submittals and RFIs and coordinate with field teams during construction
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture
- ~4–8 years of relevant experience
- Strong working knowledge of construction documentation and administration
- Experience with FF&E selection, specifications, and procurement
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, Enscape, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office
- Strong design perspective with awareness of current trends – brings ideas, not just execution
- Ability to manage multiple projects with strong organization and follow‑through
- Comfortable operating independently while collaborating across teams
- Clear, effective communication with internal and external partners
- LEED accreditation
- NCIDQ certification
- Some travel required within the U.S.
