We are seeking a self‑motivated individual with experience in professional meetings and learning environments. In addition, association experience with knowledge of volunteers, membership, and committees is also preferred. The Education & Meetings Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the success of all SDPA conferences and online education, while also providing support in the various areas of program development, management, and execution.
The coordinator works with SDPA’s Education Team to ensure programming and policies are completed efficiently, effectively, and within budget. Travel will be required for SDPA events (2-3 per year).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, & RESPONSIBILITIESTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
Education Programs – Conferences & OnlineProvide support to assigned SDPA volunteer committees.
Consistently meet deadlines.
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION- Bachelor’s degreerequiredwith a concentration in education, professional development, event management,businessor marketing.
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in conference planning, project management, and educational programming, with experience in the not‑for‑profit, professional association industry preferred
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Creative problem solving; calm/cheerful demeanor under pressure.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments in a fast‑paced, team environment and the ability to meet multiple deadlines.
- Self‑starter, able to work independently and within a team environment.
- Cvent experience a plus
- Experience working with accreditation bodies a plus
