German Language Instructor (hybrid) (Education)

ICA Language Services is seeking a German language instructor to teach an in‑person class at our facility in Rosslyn, VA. Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience teaching German to adult learners in a proficiency‑oriented, intensive environment.

Monday - Friday; 8:00 am - 1:00 pm; (0.25 hours of prep time is paid for each hour of teaching)

in person in Arlington, VA, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Online on Wednesdays

• Two years of full‑time experience teaching adult students in an intensive setting (4-6 hours/day)
• Bachelor's degree in foreign language, linguistics, language teaching, or a related field
• Native or near‑native proficiency in the German language
• Experience teaching via Zoom, Teams, or another online platform
• Plan and conduct target‑language instruction using a variety of teaching techniques and approaches to develop students' listening, reading, and speaking skills
• Administer weekly quizzes and assessments, and conduct informal and formal evaluations to monitor student learning progress
• Maximize the use of instructional technology and online learning resources to support independent learning
• Adapt teaching techniques and approaches to students' individual learning styles and professional needs
