The Youth Tennis Coach for Girls Rule the Court serves as a key contributor to provide an introduction to tennis and tennis competition in a low-pressure team environment for children of all ages to develop their skills through level-based play, without an emphasis on results. Reporting to the Manager this key member is responsible for ensuring that proper safety guidelines and standards are maintained while providing a fun experience.
Coaches need to have mastery of basic tennis skills and be able to teach those skills to youth, in particular ages 7-13.

Reporting to the Manager this key member is responsible for ensuring that proper safety guidelines and standards are maintained while providing a fun experience.

- Positive Youth Engagement & Development (Deliver age-appropriate instruction using the approved USTA curriculum while fostering fun, inclusion, sportsmanship, and confidence through group play.)
- Player Safety & Risk Management (Prioritize the physical and emotional safety of all participants by following USTA Safe Play guidelines, supervision standards, and emergency procedures at all times.)
- Effective Communication & Team Collaboration (Maintain clear, professional communication with the Program Head Coach, staff, participants, and caregivers to support a well-coordinated program environment.)
- Coaching Education, Training & Professional Conduct (Complete all required USTA trainings, certifications, and background compliance while modeling professionalism, integrity, and positive coaching behaviors.)
- Program Operations & Accountability (Accurately complete attendance, rosters, and participant documentation, and responsibly manage equipment and supplies to ensure smooth, consistent program delivery.)
Job Duties & Core Responsibilities PROGRAM COORDINATION

- Create a welcoming, inclusive, and positive environment for all players and families.
- Greet participants and caregivers professionally at each session.
- Respond to participant needs with patience, respect, and age-appropriate communication.
- Engage children in group play/instruction by using the provided curriculum.
- Always ensure player safety.
- Report to the program Head Coach and complete assigned tasks.
- Complete coach training and paperwork as assigned.
- Ensure all supplies and equipment are maintained properly, assuming appropriate and normal wear and tear.
- Ensures equipment and giveaways are distributed to participants as assigned.
- Other duties as requested.
10%
- Must attend training and courses as assigned.
- Completes all paperwork for the administration of the program such as attendance & roster sheets, participant forms and surveys, etc.

- Provide clear, accurate information about program activities, schedules, and expectations.
- Address parent and caregiver questions or concerns professionally and promptly.
- Escalate concerns, feedback, or incidents to the Program Head Coach when appropriate.
- Serve as a positive ambassador of USTA values, sportsmanship, and Safe Play standards.
- Model respectful behavior and language at all times, on and off the court.
- Maintain a calm, solution-oriented approach in challenging situations.

- Arrive prepared and on time for all sessions, trainings, and assignments.
- Follow through on assigned tasks to ensure a smooth program experience for participants and families.
- Adapt to participant needs while maintaining program structure and safety standards.
- Collect and relay participant and caregiver feedback to supervisor.
- Assist with participant surveys or program evaluations as assigned.
- Support program improvements by sharing observations and suggestions to your supervisor.
- High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) required.
- Bachelor's Degree or College Courses preferred.
- Previous tennis experience required (coaching preferred) with the ability to motivate and effectively instruct young players using sound teaching principles.
- Strong communication skills, including English language proficiency, active listening, and clear verbal and written expression.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions and adapt to new information.
- Customer-focused, team-oriented professional who builds positive relationships, collaborates effectively, and demonstrates strong interpersonal skills.
