About the PositionThe Director of Access, Belonging, and Culture provides senior‑level leadership for institutional efforts that advance equitable access, inclusive excellence, and global engagement within a higher education setting. The Director oversees disability and accommodations support services, international student support—including visa and immigration compliance—and cultural and global education initiatives. This position ensures compliance with federal regulations, promotes inclusive campus practices, and leads assessment‑driven program development to enhance student learning, persistence, and success.
The Director reports to the Vice Provost.
- Provide vision, leadership, and administrative oversight for the Division of Access, Belonging, and Culture.
- Develop and implement strategic goals aligned with institutional mission, accreditation standards, and student success initiatives.
- Supervise and evaluate professional and support staff, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Serve on institutional committees and task forces related to access, student success, inclusion, and global engagement.
- Oversee disability support services, ensuring the timely and equitable provision of reasonable accommodations for students.
- Ensure institutional compliance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and related federal and state regulations.
- Develop, implement, and review policies and procedures related to accessibility, accommodations, and grievance processes.
- Provide consultation and guidance to faculty and staff regarding inclusive instructional practices and accessibility standards.
- Direct international student services, including orientation, advising, retention initiatives, and cultural adjustment support.
- Ensure compliance with federal immigration regulations, including SEVIS and F‑1/J‑1 visa requirements.
- Collaborate with admissions, academic units, and student services to support international student recruitment, enrollment, and success.
- Lead the development and implementation of cultural education and global learning initiatives that promote belonging, intercultural competence, and global awareness.
- Partner with academic departments and co‑curricular units to integrate cultural and global perspectives into the student experience.
- Support campus‑wide programming that fosters cross‑cultural dialogue and inclusive community building.
- Develop, manage, and monitor departmental budgets, including forecasting, resource allocation, and fiscal accountability.
- Lead program assessment and evaluation efforts, using qualitative and quantitative data to measure outcomes and inform decision‑making.
- Prepare reports for senior leadership, accreditation, and external reviews related to access, compliance, and student services.
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration, Student Affairs, Counseling, Social Work, Education, or related field (Doctorate preferred).
