Under the direction of the Service Delivery Manager and Academic Specialist, the Spanish Instructor demonstrates commitment and passion to quality language instruction and education, representing as an expert in teaching and ambassador for Berlitz. The instructor teaches the required language to assigned classes of students and provides student support in accordance with Berlitz teaching and customer service principles. The instructor also participates in professional development courses and activities, ensuring familiarity with goal‑oriented, student‑centered instruction.

• Deliver lessons in accordance with Berlitz teaching principles: focusing on the goals, needs, and interests of students.
• Conduct level assessments and needs analyses as assigned by the Service Delivery Manager or Academic Specialist.
• Work with private and group students at the Learning Center, one of our offsite locations or virtually, as assigned by the Service Delivery Manager.
• Meet with the Academic Specialist regularly to participate in lesson evaluation and coaching plan to strengthen teaching skills and ensure SMART goals are met.
• Complete training and professional development modules on the Berlitz Learning website and/or attend face‑to‑face live sessions, as assigned by the Academic Specialist.
• Maintain up‑to‑date pedagogical and attendance records for students.
• Integrate learning technology into teaching programs and maintain shared teaching resource materials.
• Perform other duties as deemed fit for proper execution and as delegated by the Service Delivery Manager or Academic Specialist.

• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Four‑year college/university degree or equivalent.
• Fluent in the language(s) to teach.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Flexible in working hours.
• Independent initiative and self‑direction.
• Teaching experience with elementary school children.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

This job operates in a professional office environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

As a part‑time Language Instructor for Berlitz, you must have exceptional communication skills in both English and your native language.
