Part-Time Lecturer - Comparative Public Policy and Administration About the Opportunity
The College of Social Sciences and Humanities and its ten tenure units are the home of the Experiential Liberal Arts. Through its research, teaching, and engagement missions, the college collaborates across the university, the Northeastern network, and partners around the globe.
ResponsibilitiesThe School of Public Policy and Urban Affairs seeks part‑time instructors to teach graduate courses in Comparative Public Policy and Administration at its Arlington, Virginia campus.
Responsibilities include:
- Teaching graduate-level courses in comparative public policy and public administration, including international governance systems.
- Supporting NASPAA‑accredited Master of Public Administration and Master of Public Policy programs.
- Serving Spanish university exchange students through the CUNEF partnership program.
- Teaching courses for programs such as Master of Public Policy, Master of Public Administration, Master of Science in Urban Informatics, Master of Science in Applied Quantitative Methods for Social Analysis, and Master of Science in Criminology and Criminal Justice.
- Teaching traditional classroom courses on the Arlington campus, with potential to teach additional classes online for the Global Campus Network.
- Position availability throughout the year depending on enrollment, funding, and programmatic needs.
- Preferred:
Ph.D. in Public Policy, Public Administration, Political Science, or related disciplines. - Alternative:
Advanced master’s degree with relevant professional experience in comparative policy analysis or international public administration. - College-level teaching experience preferred.
