Technical Training and Development Instructional Designer

Pro Sidian seeks a Technical Training and Development Instructional Designer for Program Support on a contract contingent basis, generally located across the CONUS
- Washington D.C across the Mid Atlantic Region supporting Regional transit authority managing rail, bus, and paratransit services across the DC metropolitan area.

We seek Technical Training and Development Instructional Designer candidates with relevant Government And Public Services Sector Experience (functional and technical area expertise also ideal) to support professional services engagement for Government And Public Services Sector Clients such as WMATA. This as a Contract Contingent or Contract W-2 (IRS-1099) Technical Training and Development Division (TTDV) Instructional Design Staff Augmentation

Provide services and support as a Technical Training and Development Instructional Designer [WMATA Technical Training and Development Division (TTDV) Instructional Design Staff Augmentation] in the Government And Public Services Industry Sector focussing on Human Capital Solutions for clients such as Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) | Technical Training and Development Division (TTDV) | Safety and Readiness Department Generally Located In CONUS
- Washington D.C and across the Mid Atlantic Region (Of Country/World) Working On-Site (Client Site).

Instructional Design & Learning Development. Designing dynamic, learner-centered training experiences that empower WMATA's technical workforce for operational excellence.. Empowering organizations with flexible, expert talent solutions that enhance efficiency, agility, and performance through tailored staffing while fueling WMATA's workforce excellence through innovative, data-driven instructional design that transforms learning into operational performance. This work factors into the categories of Technical Training and Learning Design Staff Augmentation, Comprehensive Instructional Systems Design and Process Modernization, Learning Innovation Design and Performance Enhancement, Safety and Readiness Technical Training, and Learning Design and Technical Workforce Capability Enhancement.

Designs ILT/CBT/blended content, creates storyboards, assessments, and facilitator/participant guides using ADDIE/SAM—core ISD duties.

Responsibilities and duties include:

  • Design and Develop Instructional Content:
    Create engaging and effective learning materials, including presentations, handouts, CBT modules, and job aids, using established templates and design standards.
  • Apply Instructional Design Principles:
    Develop content that aligns with adult learning theory and instructional best practices, ensuring clarity, accessibility, and learner engagement.
  • Engage in Proactive Stakeholder Communication:
    Maintain regular communication with stakeholders to provide project updates, gather feedback, and ensure alignment with strategic training goals and operational needs.
  • Manage Project Timelines and Milestones:
    Develop and maintain detailed project plans, track progress against key milestones, and address risks or delays to ensure timely delivery of training products.
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs):
    Work closely with SMEs to gather technical content, clarify complex information, and translate it into learner-friendly formats that meet training objectives.
  • Review and Quality Assurance:
    Lead content reviews to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with learning goals, incorporating feedback from stakeholders.
  • Contribute to Evaluation Efforts:
    Collect and organize learner feedback and assessment data to support the evaluation of training effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
