Early Childhood Teacher

The Gardner School is looking for caring, nurturing, and energetic full-time Early Childhood Education Teachers to join their premier preschool in Arlington, VA
. The ideal candidate must be willing to work with children between 6-weeks and 5-years old and be comfortable with diapering and toilet training when needed.

• These are Direct Hire positions with the school
• Full-time;
  Monday-Friday; year-round employment

• Lead Teacher – $20.40 – $25.20/hour pending education, credentials, and professional Early Childhood Education experience
• Assistant Teacher – $18.25-$22.60/hour pending education, credentials, and professional Early Childhood Education experience
• Support Teacher – $16.30-$20.20/hour pending education, credentials, and professional Early Childhood Education experience

• Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children
• Responsible for the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities and curriculum as well as the maintenance of educational portfolios
• Supervise and engage children in educational and play activities
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom
• Monitor and ensure the well-being of each child in your care
• Communicate with parents about their child's progress and any concerns
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a positive learning environment
• Participate in training sessions, workshops, and staff meetings to enhance your skills and stay updated on best practices in early childhood education

• Must be at least 18-years-old

  Education:
  
  Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field or CDA
• REQUIRED Assistant and Support Teacher
  
  Education:
  
  High School Diploma or equivalent
• REQUIRED Experience: At least one year of experience in a licensed Early Childhood Education facility
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations – for Infant and Young Toddler Teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib
• Must meet background check eligibility
