Kindergarten Assistant

Human Resources announces a 1.0 FTE Kindergarten Assistant, A-09, working 187 days located at Abingdon Elementary School.

• Assistants must meet the highly qualified requirements. Assistants shall achieve highly qualified status if they have a high school diploma, and
• An Associate Degree or two years of college study. At least 60 semester hours, 12 which must be in English or mathematics, depending on job responsibilities, or
• A score of at least 455 on the Parapro Test.

• Experience working with elementary students.

• Patient, flexible, and organized.
• Ability to communicate with parents.
• Collaborative team player.
• Willingness to work under teacher direction and supervision.

Salary will be based on the FY2026-27 salary schedule. A-Scale (Benefit Eligible): $24.60–$46.79 per hour
