Board Certified Behavior Analyst in Arlington, VA

Step into a rewarding contract-to-hire opportunity supporting first grade students as a Special Education Teacher during Extended School Year programming. This full-time role (40 hours per week) centers on working one-on-one with a student exhibiting behavioral needs, in an environment that offers consistent onsite administrative support. You’ll draw from your expertise to build meaningful connections, implement targeted behavior plans, and foster growth for children on the autism spectrum or with ADHD.

• Active or eligible BCBA certification, or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
• Special Education teaching certification (or the ability to obtain)
• Background working in educational settings with behavioral interventions
• Experience supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or ADHD preferred
• Demonstrated skill in one-on-one instructional strategies and support
• Ability to adapt to individualized learning plans and needs
• Effective communication with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams

• Deliver dedicated instruction and behavior support to assigned first-grade student
• Implement IEPs and positive behavior intervention plans
• Collect and analyze data to track student progress and inform instructional decisions
• Collaborate with school administration, therapists, and related staff for optimal student outcomes
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Participate in meetings and contribute to the ongoing development of the educational program
