Your Job

DEPCOM Power is seeking an Electrical Superintendent to lead and manage electrical crews on utility-scale solar and BESS repower, restoration, and augmentation projects. In this hands-on role, you will ensure all work meets NEC code, safety standards, and project requirements while troubleshooting challenges and maintaining efficient workflow across fast-paced, short-duration sites nationwide.

Travel

This role is field-based with travel across project sites nationwide. Assignments typically last 4-8 weeks, with company-supported trips home between rotations. You will work out of a home base between assignments while supporting sites requiring rapid restoration, repower, or augmentation.

Our Team

Our Field Services team is built for challenges that standard operations and maintenance can’t address - from site damage and aging asset underperformance to evolving energy demands. We deliver rapid mobilization and targeted technical expertise through tailored solutions designed to protect customer investments and extend system value.

What You Will Do
  • Lead and manage self-perform field crews in the repair, restoration, and maintenance of utility-scale solar and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects while applying Principle Based Management (PBM).
  • Develop and improve processes that drive consistency, increase productivity, and maximize project profitability.
  • Ensure all work is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with DEPCOM's quality standards, customer requirements, and operating procedures.
  • Foster knowledge sharing, challenge assumptions, and promote clear ownership of responsibilities and decision rights to improve team effectiveness.
  • Drive successful project execution by ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality expectations.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and risks while maintaining proactive communication with customers, stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Maintain a forward-looking execution plan through effective resource planning and management of a rolling three-week lookahead schedule.
  • Provide accurate daily reporting, track project progress, and support customer interactions as needed to ensure project success.
  • Mentor and develop field personnel by promoting technical growth, leadership capability, and a culture of continuous improvement.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Strong electrical background with experience in power systems, renewable energy, industrial electrical construction, field services, commissioning, operations, maintenance, or related industries.
  • Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and its practical field application.
  • Experience leading self-perform crews, craft labor, or subcontractors in construction, commissioning, maintenance, or field service environments.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, construction documents, and technical specifications.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications for planning, reporting, and communication.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively to project sites.
What Will Put You Ahead
  • Experience supporting utility-scale solar, BESS, renewable energy, power generation, or electrical infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated experience troubleshooting medium-voltage or utility-scale electrical systems.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • OSHA 30, NFPA 70E, CPR, and First Aid certifications.
  • Experience with Procore, ArcGIS, or other construction and field management software.
  • Previous experience leading remote field teams across multiple project locations.

For this role, we anticipate paying $120,000 - $140,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
