Senior Product Manager

Overview

TSC's Product Solutions (PS) Division is currently seeking a Senior Product Manager with a preferred location based out of Huntsville, AL
. The role is for an individual with an educational and/or industry focus in the processes and procedures to manage RF-based products through the entire product lifecycle in the precision weapons domain of DoD/DoW-related programs. If the employee is not based in Huntsville, AL, travel may be required up to 40% of the year.

TSC's PS Division provides products and services in the areas of radar, communication systems, sensors, antennas and other electronics systems to the rocket/missile, radar/sensor system, communications, control systems, data acquisition, and signal processing markets. TSC has developed products ranging from board-level, application-specific designs, to complete, turnkey radar and communication systems. TSC has established a state-of-the-art hardware capability that is well respected by customers in Government and industry.

Responsibilities:

This position requires an individual who possesses product-based business acumen that can oversee the technical and product management of RF-based technologies such as proximity, height-of-burst (HOB), unmanned RF payloads, or seeker sensors spanning both development and manufacturing for missile, rocket, Electronic Warfare (EW), and/or gun-launched munition platforms. This position requires an individual familiar with all phases of product development from concept development through sustained production.

The individual in this position works with customers, business development, engineering, finance, and production teams to conceive, develop, test, produce, and sustain products across multiple product lines.

• Develop and maintain product business cases and sales forecasts
• Develop and manage yearly product line budgets in support of product line improvements
• Develop and maintain product pricing to include all supporting documentation
• Develop and maintain the commercial strategy and demand alignment, working closely with business development and sales
• Provide ROMs and Quotes to customers
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and maintain product roadmaps
• Track product issues and execute ECOs within the roadmap and budgetary constraints
• Collaborate with production and finance teams to plan product builds and execute within resource limitations
• Manage product line inventory to minimize customer lead time within business limits
• Support all phases of product development to influence design decisions to meet the product roadmap
• Work within a multi-discipline team of systems, hardware, mechanical, software, and firmware engineers to build complete solutions and products
• Lead by example in creating and executing product management processes and methodologies

• BS degree and minimum 8 years of experience in DoD/DoW or tech industry
• Experience developing and improving product management processes
• Demonstrated technical and/or business leadership in a technical field
• Possess excellent organizational and communications skills
• Able to prioritize work and maximize productivity
• Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET DoD Clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship required

• Experience with proximity/HOB or seeker fuze technologies in a product development or production environment
• Experience working with or as an end user of missile, rocket, or gun-launched munitions utilizing fuze technologies such as proximity and seeker technologies.
• Experience supporting production numbers >100 units per year
• Experience with the following areas is required:
  • Financial management of product line(s) for at least 5 years
  • DCAA audit of FAR-compliant product pricing
  • Product deliveries and support to USG and FVEY partners
  • Operating within AS9100 or ISO
    9001 process structure
