Local candidates in the state of Virginia and able to drive/go to different Dominion offices.
Travel: Will expect to be at client sites (Virginia) 80-100% of the time. (For example - might spend 1 week on one site, then another week on a different site, etc.)
Will use own personal vehicle or rental car.
Position OverviewThe Cybersecurity Consultant will independently execute significant portions of projects addressing Information Technology (IT) and Industrial Control System (ICS) security. This role involves supporting projects that include network penetration testing, web application security testing, cybersecurity vulnerability assessments, secure system design and integration, and development of cybersecurity programs at client sites across the U.S. and Canada. Work will align with frameworks such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF), and other industry-specific compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities- Execute planning, design, development, and implementation of technical controls, procedures, and policies associated with cybersecurity compliance and regulatory standards.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of all client and project information.
- Identify and diagnose operational issues and implement design alterations to address these issues.
- Conduct network penetration tests and vulnerability assessments of IT and Operational Technology (OT) networks for compliance and security purposes.
- Perform detailed post-event analysis of unusual events and recommend procedural changes.
- Resolve technical issues, analyze implications to client business, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Develop policies and procedures for secure process control network design, including technical recommendations for firewalls and other security controls.
- Compile technical documentation of network traffic and firewall services/solutions, including diagrams and explanations.
- Collaborate with internal teams and divisions.
- Comply with all applicable policies and standards.
Bachelor Degree Bachelor Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field and min 3 years of related/relevant experience is Required
