CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for a Data Engineer within our Intel sector advancing the national security mission through cutting edge technology. The Data Engineer designs, builds, and maintains scalable data systems and pipelines to collect, store, and process data for analysis and reporting.

Key responsibilities include developing data infrastructure like data lakes and warehouses, ensuring data quality and security, collaborating with data scientists and analysts, and optimizing data accessibility for business insights. This role requires proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) CGI Federal is growing its high-performance team whose members share a passion for building high-quality, scalable, advanced IT solutions in a collaborative, fast-paced, outcome-driven mission.

This position is located in USA VA Arlington, however, a hybrid working model is acceptable. Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Data Pipeline Development:
Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into accessible formats.
• Data Infrastructure Management:
Develop and manage data infrastructure components, including databases, data warehouses, and data lakes, ensuring scalability and reliability.
• Data Quality & Governance:
Implement processes for data cleaning, transformation, and validation to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with security and privacy policies.

Collaboration:

Work with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver tailored data solutions.
• Performance Optimization:
Monitor and troubleshoot data systems to enhance performance, efficiency, and reliability. Required qualifications to be successful in this role: SME:

Experience:

Bachelor's degree and/or 10+ years of experience

• Security Clearance: TS/SCI required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI with Poly highly desired

• Programming

Languages:

Proficiency in languages such as Python and SQL is crucial.
• Big Data Technologies:
Expertise in big data technologies like Hadoop and Spark.
• Database Systems:
Knowledge of various database systems and data warehouse architectures.
• Data Modeling:

Experience with data modeling techniques to design effective data structures.
• Cloud Platforms:
Familiarity with cloud environments and related tools (e.g., AWS, GCP).
• Problem-Solving & Communication:
