The role works with cross‑functional teams, builds and programs processes, and collaborates with stakeholders and management across the organization. Core activities include collective analysis, defect mapping, value‑stream team support, root‑cause corrective action, and process monitoring. This position requires strong knowledge and use of data analysis.
Level 2 Responsibilities- Research contractual and Boeing QMS requirements for applicability to specific proposals and program processes and documentation.
- Develop sections of quality metrics, design and production certification plans to ensure compliance with contractual, company, and regulatory requirements.
- Analyze capability assessments to support supplier selection activities.
- Participate in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs.
- Perform data analysis to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.
- Provide material review dispositions for non‑conformances.
- Analyze non‑conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.
- Compile performance reports and other statistical data to ensure specified process capability levels are achieved.
- Work under general supervision.
- Represent the Quality function on team activities to integrate contractual and Boeing QMS requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation.
- Provide quality interpretation of requirements.
- Develop quality metrics, design and production certification plans for small programs to ensure compliance with contractual, company, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct capability assessments and process validations to support supplier selection activities.
- Participate in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs.
- Perform analysis, tests and process audits to ensure manufacturing and test readiness; provide material review dispositions for non‑conformances.
- Analyze non‑conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions and recommend corrective actions to address non‑conformances.
- Perform benchmarking and other forms of analysis to ensure specified process capability levels are achieved.
- Work under general direction.
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited curriculum in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
- 1+ year experience in aerospace, manufacturing, quality, or a regulated industry.
- 1+ year experience collecting, organizing, and analyzing data; summarizing findings; and developing conclusions.
- Experience in business intelligence or data warehousing development.
- Software programming skills in R, Python, MATLAB, Java, C, or C++.
- Experience applying machine learning approaches to large data sets.
- 1+ year experience in a quality engineering job.
- Experience developing root‑cause corrective actions.
- Certification in Six Sigma / Lean Principles.
- ASQ certification (e.g., SPC implementation, data analysis).
- Certified Analytics Professional.
- Experience developing data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI.
- Knowledge of BI & analytic tools such as Tableau, Power BI and supporting platforms.
- Experience managing large data sets, including SQL.
Successful candidates must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
TravelUp to 10% travel may be required.
