Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Quality Engineer to join our team located in Mascoutah, IL.
This position supports the production line by leading root cause investigations and corrective actions for nonconformance (NCRs), performing line stock checks and data analytics to identify trends, and presenting to stakeholders. The role works closely with production, quality, supply chain and engineering to ensure timely containment and permanent corrective actions that reduce recurrence and improve process capability. This position will travel weekly between the Mascoutah, IL and Hazelwood, MO sites.
Position RequirementsRequired Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
Position Responsibilities- This position requires weekly travel up to 50% of the time. The travel will be between the Mascoutah, IL and Hazelwood, MO sites.
- Research contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements for applicability to specific proposals and program processes and documentation.
- Develop sections of quality metrics, design and production certification plans to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements.
- Analyze capability assessments to support supplier selection activities.
- Participate in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs.
- Perform data analysis to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.
- Provide material review dispositions for non-conformance.
- Analyze non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.
- Compile performance reports and other statistical data to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved.
- Work under general supervision.
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
- 1+ year of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- Experience with AS9100 or ISO
9000 and/or similar (QMS) Quality Management System. - 1+ year of experience in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA).
- Experience with quality processes.
- Experience working with non-conformance processing.
- Experience in quality inspection and/or auditing.
Position is 100% onsite at the listed location.
Weekly travel up to 50% of the time between Mascoutah, IL and Hazelwood, MO.
Shift: 1st shift (United States of America).
CompensationSummary pay range: USD $83,300 – $112,700.
