About the Position:
GPTech is seeking a Sustainable Energy Analyst/Project Coordinator to engage in a range of assignments supporting the use of sustainable energy technologies, including renewable energy, energy efficiency, and advanced grid systems, as well as operations, project management, business development, and admnistrative support to sustainable energy contracts. This includes work with federal as well as state and local clients.
This role is currently fully remote; however, a hybrid work arrangement may be required in the future, including occasional on-site support in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. U.S. citizenship is required, along with the ability to obtain and retain a security clearance and successfully pass a background investigation.
Responsibilities:
- Support technical analysis tasks such as reviewing, modeling, and analyzing energy projects, including Energy Savings Performance Contracts (ESPC) and Utility Energy Service Contracts (UESC).
- Researching all aspects of project development and financing for proposed energy projects
- Conducting energy, environmental, and economic benefits analysis of sustainable energy technologies and projects.
- Collecting and analyzing project and program information and entering & managing data in spreadsheets and models.
- Developing targeted communications (white papers, fact sheets, research summaries, briefings, technical analyses, data analysis presentations) on recommended investments and decisions
- Facilitating project meetings and/or summarizing proceedings.
- Staying current on industry developments in relevant technologies and business practices.
- Conducting utility bill analysis to inform the client of rate change implications, energy/cost savings.
- Providing project management support including coordination with GPTech Practice Area leads and Finance and Administration to fulfill corporate project management and contract management requirements
- Contributing to company growth and business development through creating and improving communications products and proposal sections, and supporting business capture strategies.
- Coordinating with clients and stakeholders
- U.S. citizenship with the ability to pass a background investigation
- Bachelor's Degree from a four-year accredited college or university in a relevant field (e.g., business management, program/project management, engineering, physical science)
- Professional writing and verbal skills
- Proficiency with software tools for research, analysis, reporting, communications, and collaboration
- Attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks and balance competing priorities effectively and efficiently within a required timeframe
- Specific experience pertaining to energy technologies and applications
- Specific experience related to economic analysis, project development, and/or project management
- Experience working with state or federal government programs, or with working on projects in developing countries
- Certified Energy Manager, Engineer in Training (EIT), and/or LEED AP certifications
- Proficiency in a language other than English, especially Spanish, French, or Portuguese
