Advanced Aircraft Systems Engineer
The opportunity:
combine technical skills with big picture thinking to impact national defense. Your ability to translate real‑world needs into technical specifications will be essential for delivering customer‑focused engineering solutions within advanced aircraft fighter programs.
- Apply systems engineering activities, defense acquisition processes, technical reviews, and program documentation in a government or contractor environment.
- Assist with development and maintenance of engineering and program documentation such as Systems Engineering Plans (SEP), technical reports, and briefing materials.
- Broaden skills in risk management, configuration management, and technical baseline activities; prepare and present technical briefings to internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate with government stakeholders, program management offices, and engineering teams to ensure technical and programmatic alignment.
- 5+ years of experience with engineering on a DoW, National Security, or Aerospace program.
- 2+ years of experience with DoW acquisition and systems engineering processes.
- Experience supporting or participating in Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) events.
- Ability to lead engineering teams or projects and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong collaboration skills with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Secret clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or Technology.
- Experience with Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies and tools (e.g., Cameo, Magic Draw, SysML, MATLAB).
- Experience in a DoW aircraft or weapons system program acquisition office.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Top Secret clearance.
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Science or Technology.
- INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP).
- Salary range: $86,800 – $198,000 annually (USD).
