ResponsibilitiesAs a systems engineer on our team, you have the chance to shape aerospace design, development and sustainment activities by leading corrosion engineering activities on stealth aircraft platforms. Your customer will trust you to not only design and develop these systems but also evolve them with advanced technology solutions. On our team, you’ll be able to broaden your skillset into areas like aircraft development, aircraft sustainment, and corrosion portfolio development.
Grow your skills by merging technical engineering activities such as corrosion engineering and digital engineering to create corrosion management, prevention and control solutions that improve client mission outcomes.
- 8+ years of experience working in defense engineering, sustainment, or maintenance organization working as a corrosion engineer
- Knowledge of corrosion mechanisms, such as galvanic, pitting, environmental, or stress corrosion cracking, and the implementation of corrosion prevention and control programs
- Knowledge of aircraft and defense corrosion standards, including airworthiness
- Ability to analyze corrosion data, findings, trends, and recommendations within a complex aircraft enterprise to develop a portfolio approach in corrosion prevention and control
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Corrosion Engineering
- Secret clearance (or ability to obtain)
- 5+ years of experience working as an aerospace corrosion engineer particularly in mixed‑material, low‑observable aircraft structures
- Experience with corrosion‑related databases, analysis pipelines, or dashboards
- Experience developing and implementing corrosion prevention and control programs (CPCP) that meet regulatory requirements
- Ability to use Power BI or other data evaluation tools and methods
- Master's degree in Corrosion Engineering or a Corrosion‑related field
- Association of Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP) in Corrosion Certification

The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $ (annualized USD). Salary is determined by various factors including location, education, skills, experience, and contract‑specific requirements.
