KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Transportation Engineering Intern, you will collaborate with team members on a diverse blend of projects with an emphasis on design and technical documentation. You will collaborate with a team to prepare construction plans for a variety of transportation improvements from initial concept through construction administration.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the development of engineering solutions for multi‑modal transportation projects through the application of Local, State & Federal design standards and regulations.
  • Designing and creating technical drawings in Micro Station Open Roads Designer or AutoCAD Carlson design software.
  • Communicating across a multidisciplinary design team.
  • Participating in transportation association networking events, classes, trainings, and seminars.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Enrolled in a Bachelor of Science Civil Engineering (or equivalent) curriculum at an ABET‑accredited university
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Enthusiasm for team collaboration
  • Experience in Micro Station or AutoCAD is preferred
