Your new role

As our new Air Quality Senior Managing Consultant, you will be part of Ramboll’s Air Sciences Group, which is part of Ramboll’s Environment & Health Division. This group consists of people who are passionate about air quality and assisting Ramboll’s clients with their most challenging problems. The Air Sciences Group consults with clients across various industries and geographies on a range of topics, including but not limited to air permitting, emissions estimation, regulatory enforcement matters and compliance, air dispersion modeling, human health risk assessment, climate change, climate action planning, climate adaptation/resiliency, sustainability initiatives.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical and business leadership in the manufacturing, energy, technology, commercial and/or law sectors. This individual will have experience managing consulting assignments, must work effectively in multi‑disciplinary teams, is expected to be proficient in the analysis and communication of information, and must be able to work cooperatively with agencies, organizations, and individuals to guide decision‑making.

The successful candidate also is expected to be proficient in all facets of project and client management. They must demonstrate a commitment to mentoring and developing Consultant and Senior Consultant level staff and to collaborating with colleagues throughout the Practice.

Your key responsibilities
  • Facilitating preparation of air quality permit applications and environmental impact reports
  • Managing complex projects and serving as the technical lead overseeing Consultant and Senior Consultant level staff
  • Managing client relationships and the development of deliverables to meet client needs in an efficient manner
  • Critically reviewing and interpreting local, state, and federal environmental regulations, permitting, compiling, and drafting regulatory applicability determinations, and communicating findings, to co‑workers, clients, and regulatory agencies
  • Identifying and pursuing business development opportunities
  • Conducting site visits
