About the role and eligibility:
No staffing firms. Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship or transfer.
- Work on mechanical design for HVAC systems in commercial and institutional interiors, including load calculations, equipment sizing and selection, and developing control strategies.
- Perform site surveys and contribute to project coordination across all MEP disciplines.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality design and client satisfaction.
- Take advantage of career growth opportunities in design, MEP project management, and leadership roles.
- Mentor and lead others where applicable and participate in company-sponsored events and recognition programs.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program + 6+ years of HVAC design experience in commercial and institutional interiors.
- Demonstrated proficiency in HVAC design for built environments, including load calculations, equipment sizing/selection, control systems, and site surveys.
- Strong knowledge of regional building, energy, and green codes.
- Ability to work independently and in a team; strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Experience coordinating information and people across all MEP disciplines; ability to delegate tasks and manage project schedules and budgets.
- Commitment to quality, client satisfaction, and responsiveness; strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD (recent releases); familiarity with Revit modeling is strongly preferred.
- Preferred:
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license, LEED accreditation. - Ability to travel to job sites for site visits, including carrying equipment and exposure to heights/elements as needed.
- Able to complete pre-employment background check and drug test. Some projects may have extra requirements.
