Ramboll is seeking experienced candidates to join the Solutions for Industry group in our Charlotte, NC office.

Job Description Tasks and Responsibilities

Performing design and engineering work in various areas of the mechanical discipline, primarily HVAC but also industrial piping, plumbing, central utility plants, compressed air systems, chilled water systems, steam systems, and fire protection.
Coordinating with other engineering disciplines to produce final construction drawings and details associated with mechanical engineering projects.
Developing conceptual designs and cost estimates for early stages of the project life cycle.
Creating design drawings utilizing Revit 3D design software.
Assessing and designing building ventilation systems based on requirements for heat removal in industrial spaces and maintaining indoor air quality.
Utilizing building modeling software to determine envelope heat gains/losses for HVAC equipment sizing.
Specifying mechanical equipment.
Designing plumbing and building utility piping systems.
Summarizing engineering results in written reports and/or presentations that are cohesive and of the highest quality.
Visiting job sites as required for projects involving upfit of existing systems. A mix of day trips and overnight domestic trips is expected.
Adhering to the policies and standards set forth in the Ramboll's Project Execution Manual.
Promoting and maintaining a safe working environment for all employees by adhering to Ramboll's Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or higher.
Licensed Professional Engineer.
10+ years of experience in engineering and design of HVAC systems.
Experience designing large‑scale hydronic systems.
Working knowledge of fire protection requirements for industrial facilities, including the IFC, NFPA standards and FM Global guidelines.
Desire to work in the chemical, power, and industrial market segments.
Desire and ability to work at industrial facilities gathering data for designs (expect
