Job Summary
The Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) is one of the largest trade associations in the nation, representing more than 300 heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, water heating, and commercial refrigeration manufacturers from all parts of the world. Position OverviewHVAC Program Engineer – Program Operations Team
Responsibilities- Lead product testing with certification participants, regional AHRI teams, and third‑party laboratories to ensure accurate and timely completion of market surveillance testing.
- Convene Compliance Committee meetings to review annual program performance, maintain and update governing documents, and make recommendations for program changes or new programs.
- Lead working group meetings with member companies to complete projects and tasks.
- Represent AHRI in technical conferences, workshops, meetings, and other venues, preparing technical documents that support company positions.
- Work with technical working groups to develop performance rating standards and guidelines.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a nationally accredited four‑year college or university.
- Minimum of two years of relevant experience (preferably in the HVACR industry).
- Working understanding of product performance testing, including associated standards and methods of test.
- Demonstrated ability to define, plan, and execute project deliverables with minimal supervision.
- LEED, PE, or EIT desired but not required.
- Experience leading or facilitating meetings and public speaking or presentations.
Salary range: $75,000 to $98,000 based on relevant industry experience.
AHRI offers a competitive salary and a full benefits package including employer contributions to HSA plans, 401(k) and Roth plans. Employees are eligible to participate in the alternate workplace program after 90 days of employment with a performance rating of meets expectations or above. This position does not have an option to work remotely.
