Senior Technical Lead, Water/Wastewater Infrastructure
Full-time, remote within the USA with occasional travel.
Ramboll is a global architecture, engineering, and consultancy company that specializes in sustainable water practice. The role focuses on linear infrastructure, including large‑diameter sewer rehabilitation, transmission main design, and CSO expertise. The position is based in the Mid‑Atlantic & Northeast region but is flexible within the USA.
Responsibilities- Serve as Technical Lead on large, complex programs.
- Lead quality review of work products and coordinate engineering disciplines into final design deliverables (calculations, drawings, specifications and cost estimates).
- Prepare technical approaches for proposals and estimate fees for water and wastewater linear infrastructure projects.
- Train and mentor design and engineering employees.
- Represent Ramboll through professional affiliations and technical presentations.
- B.S. Civil/Environmental Engineering with 12+ years of experience, or demonstrated expertise.
- Expertise in water and wastewater linear infrastructure design, including large‑diameter (72"+) transmission mains, sewage force mains, gravity systems, CSO, and/or stormwater conveyance systems.
- Experience with pumping stations and water storage design is a plus.
- Strong personnel development skills – mentoring people in engineering and design positions.
- Excellent communication skills for conveying complex technical knowledge to clients, public, and technical societies.
- Experience with trenchless pipe installation and rehabilitation technologies.
- Professional certification or licensure in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, and/or Midwest regions; ability to obtain multiple licenses through reciprocity.
- Client-facing experience with strong relationships in water/wastewater infrastructure or resiliency field is a plus.
Annual base salary between $137,000 and $170,000. Actual pay may vary based on experience, location, and market conditions. Bonuses, overtime, and other compensation are not included in the posted range.
