Mechanical Design Engineer - Early Career​/Mid-Level

About the Role

GHT is seeking a bright, motivated mechanical design engineer with 4-13 years of HVAC design experience in the commercial, multi-family residential, and institutional environments.

• Strongly prefer active Professional Engineer (PE) License in a U.S. jurisdiction.
• Demonstrated proficiency in HVAC design for the built environment including HVAC load calculations, equipment sizing and selection, developing control systems and performing site surveys.
• Understanding of applicable building codes within the various jurisdictions in the Washington, DC, metro area.
• Motivated to perform both independently and in a team setting; able to train other engineers.
• Demonstrated management skills including a commitment to client satisfaction and responsiveness, the ability to coordinate, organize, and manage information and people across all MEP disciplines.
• Ability to delegate tasks, manage project schedules and budgets.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD (recent releases), Revit, MS Office.
  Revit is strongly preferred.
• Able to travel to job sites and conduct site visits, including carrying equipment/materials and being exposed to heights.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship or visa transfer. GHT participates in E-Verify.
• Must successfully complete pre-employment background check and drug test. Certain projects may have additional requirements.

This role encompasses more than one level of engineering classification; actual title and final compensation package will depend on an individual's experience, skills, education, and credentials, as evaluated by management. All base compensation estimates are a good-faith reflection of the pay range for someone who meets all the minimum requirements for the advertised role.
