The Non-Kinetic Effects Business Area, part of the Defense Sector at Leidos, currently has an opening for a cleared Model-Based Systems Engineer to work in our Arlington, VA office. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping multiple DoD customers develop "bleeding edge" technology protecting our warfighters in the field. Your role will directly support our diverse portfolio of programs through a combination of requirement and design architecture analysis and MBSE Model development.
Your skills may be requested to help create briefing material for design reviews and Technical Exchanges.

Candidates must be able to work on-site in Arlington, VA.
As a Systems Engineer with Leidos, you will use MBSE methodologies and tools to help develop system architectures on new development programs and incorporate Leidos unique capabilities into test or fielded HW. This role will also assist the technical team align the solution architecture to the customer requirements.
Day‑to‑day life will involve exercising existing tools and models and creating new models to represent emerging systems. This will be a synthesis of MBSE tools like No
Magic CSM to:
- Capture, decompose, and trace system level requirements.
- Analyze, define, and refine architectures, and interfaces.
- Develop system structure and behavior.
- Collaborate with government stakeholders, software, test, mechanical and electrical teams.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field with 2+ years of prior relevant experience or a master's degree with at least a year experience in one of these areas: systems engineering, software engineering, test engineering or related field.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must have an active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS.
- Experience working in a SIL environment.
- Experience with SysML, preferably using Cameo/Magic Draw.
- Strong desire to grow and learn new technologies.
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally from informal one-on-one discussions or in a small group environment.
- Ability to work within a dynamic work environment, ability to handle multiple tasks at once (multi-task).
- Active TS clearance.
- Familiar with Agile Methodologies, preferably SCRUM or Kanban.
- Experience with Atlassian tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket.
- OCSMP (OMG Certification for Systems Modeling Professionals)
- Experience with executable SysML simulation capabilities and scripting languages.
- Experience with MBSE methodologies such as Magicgrid.
- Understanding of military CONOPS.
Pay Range $69,550.00 - $. The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement, or other law.
