We are seeking a NEPA Project Manager to work with a team of environmental professionals from across the company to conduct environmental analyses and deliver quality documents supporting our Department of Energy (DOE) program under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). The successful candidate will be responsible for managing environmental and NEPA projects through all phases, from project kickoff through approval of final deliverables.

The Project Manager will also be responsible as principal author of NEPA documentation including Site-wide Environmental Impact Statements (SWEIS), Environmental Impact Statements (EIS), Supplemental Analysis (SA) and Environmental Assessments (EA). Strong communication and writing skills are required. This role offers the opportunity to work with multidisciplinary teams on energy, infrastructure, environmental restoration, nuclear operations, and facility projects.

Responsibilities include:

• Manage preparation of NEPA documentation, including EAs, EISs, and supporting technical studies.
• Technical expertise in one or more environmental resource discipline.
• Plan, develop, coordinate, and manage multi-disciplined NEPA projects.
• Work closely with DOE/NNSA to develop project alternatives.
• Review and interpret highly technical reports and summarize in non-technical language.
• Lead meetings with DOE/NNSA.
• Manage and develop technical staff.
• Contribute to business development activities.
• Conduct research on federal environmental regulations.
• Participate in quality reviews of technical documents.
• Pursue continuous professional development.
• Complete projects on time and within scope, budget and regulatory guidelines.
• Additional duties as required.

Qualifications include:

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or related engineering discipline.
• Master's degree in relevant field is preferred.
• 10+ years of experience managing NEPA projects and teams to scope, schedule, and budget. DOE experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong experience with NEPA.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, if required.

This position requires the candidate to be a U.S. Citizen due to the projects they will be working on.

The candidate must be able to work productively in a home and/or office environment. The candidate will need to be able to drive, interact with others via phone, online meeting platforms, and in person, and traverse unstable terrain to evaluate site conditions.

Work will be primarily office related.

Candidates must be fluent in the English language and possess excellent verbal/written communication skills. Candidates must be able to professionally interact with clients, subcontractors, professionals, and the general public. Great presentation and writing skills are necessary for this position.
