The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for an Israel (ISR) Air Vehicle Team Lead within the Air Vehicle (AV) IPT to work for the Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) in the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) at Arlington, VA with the Joint Strike Fighter Program Office (JSFPO).

Salary Range: $102,415 to $158,322 with locality pay
Travel: 25%

Qualifications/Requirements- Responsible for coordinating the planning and development of all ISR Air Vehicle technical requirements with appropriate Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), development and implementation of program plans, and the coordination of work efforts by field activities and contractors. In performing these functions, the incumbent integrates the work of all Air Vehicle SMEs to ensure a complete system solution.
- Assist in providing the appropriate technical representation and coordinate SME support for the ISR Air Vehicle engineering efforts.
- Provide timely, sound inputs and guidance to the overall program master schedule.
- Manage and coordinate appropriate engineering development, requirement adherence and technical issue resolution for the ISR Air Vehicle engineering team.
- Support preparation of program acquisition and technical documents and briefings.
- Coordinate appropriate program Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs) and Air Vehicle design reviews as relate to the ISR Airframe effort.
- Support the Air Vehicle IPT in the appropriate planning and development engineering efforts.
- Perform requirements analysis, conduct functional analysis and allocation, conduct synthesis and select preferred product solutions.
- Identify, analyze, and mitigate risk in accordance with program risk management plan.
- Develop and coordinate ISR air worthiness requirements and identify data products needed to support interim flight clearances.
- Reviews TAA’s, RFI’s and Press Releases for releasability.
- Reviews and assesses DR’s and SPAR’s on their impacts to F-35 Weapons integration, design and determines appropriate closure plans.
- Provide subject matter support to the JSF /FM Program Manager for Israel, Security Assistance Program Manager (SAPM), as required for the execution of all US-Israel JSF LOAs.
- BS in Mechanical/Aeronautical/Electrical Engineering is required, MS in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering/Electrical Engineering is preferred
- DAU level II or higher in System engineering and T&E
- 10 or more years experience in major aircraft modifications and design, as well as aircraft subsystems – to include aircraft structures, mechanics, hydraulics, materials, mechanical hardware, and airborne weapons systems integration
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of program management tools and project planning / tracking techniques
- Good briefing skills and interpersonal and/or diplomatic skills
- Top Secret Clearance is required
- Ability to obtain higher level of security clearance as required
- Willingness to travel overseas
