The OpportunityThe Investment Associate independently manages complex financial analysis, underwriting, and due diligence activities across Anchor’s development, acquisition, and structured finance service lines. This role builds upon the core responsibilities of the Real Estate Investment Analyst and represents the next step toward serving as a “deal lead” in the future. The Investment Associate will work closely with team members internally, including service line leads, Investment Professionals and will engage directly with external partners, investors, lenders, and development collaborators.
This position offers an anticipated annual base salary range of $85,000–$90,000
, along with the opportunity to earn a discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, skills, and location. The role may begin in our Washington, DC office and is expected to relocate to Arlington, VA in spring of 2026.
- Provide pre-acquisition input and review including offering memorandums, financial and operational assumptions, construction of pro-formas, identification of funding sources, soliciting proposals, supporting the effort of originating and negotiation of debt financing, and preparing funding applications.
- Review, understand and advise on due diligence materials for acquisitions and investments.
- Participate in the creation, development, and preparation of presentations and materials to potential investors and firm acquisition and development partners.
- Will assist with deal structuring and negotiation of investment terms, including coordination with legal counsel.
- Will coordinate and manage Third Party consultants from engagement to completion of the due diligence requirements (Appraiser, Engineer, Environmental, Property Condition and Zoning Consultants).
