ResponsibilitiesLeads the AES Clean Energy Annual Budget process. Coordinates multiple teams across the company, ensures SLT has deep buy-in on budget assumptions and key metrics. Leads the team that manages the financial impacts of our OpCo pipeline on company earnings and cash flows forecast and budget: budget and forecast the financial impact of the operating assets. Maintain accurate financial models that reflect impacts informed by commercial and operational team.
Leads a monthly performance report that explains drivers for variances in variable margin, EBITDA and other key metrics. Work with the accounting team to reflect actuals from the accounting system in the financial models. Work with the tax team to reflect tax returns in the financial models. Maintain accurate information that will be used in the corporate model. Book HLBV monthly and maintain accuracy of the models through constant review and support of the tax team and consultants quarterly review.
Comply with the deliverable’s requested under the TE partnerships LLCA. Propose and coordinate tax equity buyouts optimizing AES returns and earnings. Maintain close relationship with key departments to be on top of financial impacts. Ensure smooth transition of assets from the Dev Co team to the OpCo team.
Job requires a bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, accounting, or a related field and 4 years of experience in preparing and coordinating budgets, forecasts, and reporting.
Job requires 4 years of experience in each of the following:
- Proficient in energy projects financial valuation and/or tax equity structures.
- Experience building and analyzing complex Excel models for project valuation, including cash flow forecasting, sensitivity analysis, and financial feasibility assessments.
- Skilled in interpreting and applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) to analyze financial statements.
