Exigent Services supports the Defense Suicide Prevention Office in establishing a framework for the Department’s portfolio of program for suicide prevention to best support the management of resources, analyzing cost, and supporting reporting requirements for executive decisions, DoD guidance, and congressional inquiries.

The Budget Analyst will:
  • Support the Defense Suicide Prevention Office with establishing a framework for the Department’s portfolio of program for suicide prevention to best support the management of resources, analyzing cost, and supporting reporting requirements for executive decisions, DoD guidance, and congressional inquiries.
  • Coordinate and execution of all program requirements and tasks to meet customer objectives.
  • Prepare spending plans and operating budget analysis for DoD/agency based on actual performance, previous budget figures, estimated revenue, and expense reports for budget execution.
  • Assist with the installation of budgetary control systems and use a computer to input, retrieve, display budget information, and work within such areas as J-Books (both Budget Estimate Submission (BES) and President’s Budget (PB) and/or provide support for budget formulation during the organization’s Program Objective Memorandum (POM) and budget execution phases.
  • Provide comprehensive financial management support to the client, including all aspects of the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution process, and submissions of budget justification materials for the client.
  • Develop financial strategies and planning documentation and supports administrative control over the clients programming and budget formulation process.
  • Act as a liaison between the programs and the financial oversight entities.
  • Serve as a financial advisor to the client leadership on major program acquisition, research, grant, etc. discussions and provides financial recommendations on financial implication, proper financial treatment, and cost recovery options, as applicable.
  • Work jointly with the client program cell on development of program spend plans and monthly review of program financial state.
  • Furnish timely, reliable, and comprehensive financial information for all financial management decisions and strategic planning.
  • Support with development, tracking, management, and submission of Annual Program Plan(APP) for the client managed GF accounts.
To be successful in this role, the Budget Analyst will have:
  • An Active U.S. DoD Issued Public Trust or higher Security Clearance.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in mathematics, engineering, Operations Research, or economics a must
  • Eight years of experience in DoD or Service program / requirement formulation in PBBE / POM.

Skills:
  • Experience in DoD or Service budget execution or formulation highly desired.
