Position OverviewChartis Federal is seeking a Lead Financial Analyst to provide financial management and budget execution support to the Customer's Strategic Planning Office (SPO). The Lead Financial Analyst will support the planning, development, execution, tracking, and reporting of program and organizational budgets. This position will work closely with Government leadership to monitor funding execution, develop financial reports, support budget formulation activities, and provide financial analysis to support decision-making and program execution.
This position is contingent upon award.
Duties and Responsibilities- Develop and maintain office and program budgets in accordance with Customer requirements.
- Monitor budget execution, commitments, obligations, expenditures, and funding allocations.
- Prepare monthly financial execution reports and supporting budget analyses.
- Track program funding and provide recommendations to support effective budget management.
- Analyze financial data and identify trends, risks, and potential funding issues.
- Support budget planning activities for current and future programs.
- Develop forecasts and financial projections to support program execution.
- Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analyses in response to Customer requests.
- Maintain financial records, supporting documentation, and budget tracking tools.
- Coordinate with Government personnel and stakeholders regarding budget status and financial requirements.
- Support the preparation of financial presentations, reports, and briefing materials.
- Ensure assigned financial products and deliverables are completed within established deadlines.
- Active Top Secret (TS) security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience in financial management, budget analysis, program financial support, or related federal government financial activities.
- Experience developing and monitoring budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
- Experience analyzing financial data and preparing recommendations for leadership.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience supporting Department of Defense organizations.
- Experience supporting research and development (R&D) programs.
- Experience supporting federal budget formulation and execution activities.
- Experience preparing financial briefings and executive-level reports.
- Master's degree in a related discipline.
